 Yahuah’s Seven Covenants

1. The Covenant to Adam

Bereshith (Genesis) 2:17 But do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil for in the day that you eat of it you shall certainly die.

2 Peter 3:8 But beloved ones let not this one matter be hidden from you; that with Yahuah  one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.

Adam lived to 930 years so he died within the day.

The original scriptures use the Hebrew word “yom” which covers unspecified periods of time ranging from “day” to “eon”.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 28:15 Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death and with the grave we have effected a vision. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it does not come to us, for we have made lying our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves".

Bereshith (Genesis) 3:14, 15 And Yahuah Elohim said to the serpent, "Because you have done this you are cursed more than all livestock and more than every beast of the field. On your belly you are to go, and eat dust all the days of your life. And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall crush your head, and you shall crush His heel".

The sign of the Covenant is death for disobedience.

2. The Covenant to Noah

Bereshith (Genesis) 6:17, 18 “And see, I myself am bringing flood waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under the heavens, all that is on the earth is to die. And I shall establish my Covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you”.

22 And Noah did according to all that Elohim commanded him, so he did.

Genesis 9:9 Noah was a righteous man, perfect in his generations.

9:13 “I shall set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the Covenant between Me and the earth.

14 And it shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud,

15 And I shall remember My Covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and never again let the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the rainbow shall be in the cloud and I shall see it, to remember the everlasting Covenant between Elohim and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth”.

The sign of the Covenant is the rainbow for obedience.

3. The Covenant to Abraham

Bereshith (Genesis) 17:2 “And I give My Covenant between Me and you, and shall greatly increase you”.

3 And Abraham fell on his face, and Elohim spoke with him saying,

4 "As for Me, look, My Covenant is with you, and you shall become a father of many nations.

5 "And no longer is your name called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, because I shall make you a father of many nations.

6 "And I shall make you bear fruit exceedingly, and make nations of you, and sovereigns shall come from you

7 "And I shall establish My Covenant between Me and you and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting Covenant to be Elohim to you and your seed after you.

8 "And I shall give to you and your seed after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Kena'an, as an everlasting possession. And I shall be their Elohim".

Bereshith (Genesis) 17:9 And Elohim said to Abraham, "As for you, guard My Covenant, you and your seed after you throughout their generations.

10 "This is My Covenant which you guard between Me and you, and your seed after you: Every male child among you is to be circumcised.

11 "And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall become a sign of the Covenant between Me and you".

The sign of the Covenant to Abraham was circumcision for belief (faith, righteousness).

3(a) The Covenant to Yitshaq (Isaac)

Bereshith (Genesis) 17:21 "But My Covenant I will establish with Yitshaq whom Sarah is to bear to you at this set time next year".

The sign of the Covenant to Yitshaq is the type of the sacrificial lamb through faith.

3(b) The Covenant to Ya'aqob (Jacob)

Bereshith (Genesis) 35:10 And Elohim said to him, "Your name is Ya'aqob (Jacob), your name is no longer called Ya'aqob but Yisra'el is your name", so he called his name Yisra'el.

11 And Elohim said to him "I am El Shaddai. Bear fruit and increase, a nation and a company of nations shall be from you, and a sovereign come from your body.

12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Yitshaq I give to you. And to your seed after you I give this land".

Shemoth (Exodus) 2:4 And Elohim remembered His Covenant with Abraham, with Yitshaq, and with Ya'aqob.

The sign of the Covenant is the New Name, changed by Yahuah.

4. The Covenant to Mosheh (Moses)

Shemoth (Exodus) 19:5 "And now if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My Covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples, for all the earth is mine.

6 And you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation". Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisrael.

Shemoth (Exodus) 24:7 And he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, "All that Yahuah has spoken we shall do and obey".

8 And Mosheh took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, "See, the blood of the Covenant which Yahuah has made with you concerning all these words".

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 54:5 "For your Maker is your husband, Yahuah of Hosts is His Name, and the Set-apart one of Yisrael is your Redeemer. He is called the Elohim of all the earth".

Shemoth (Exodus) 31:12 And Yahuah spoke to Mosheh saying,

13 "And you, speak to the children of Yisrael saying, 'My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, Yahuah, am setting you apart.

14 And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people.

15 Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to Yahuah. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death.

16 And the children of Yisrael shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting Covenant.

17 Between Me and the children of Yisrael it is a sign forever. For in six days Yahuah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed'."

The sign of the Covenant to Mosheh is the Sabbath for sanctification.

5. The Covenant to David

2 Dibre ha Yamin (2 Chronicles) 7:17 "And you Shelomoh (Solomon), if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do accordingly to all that I have commanded you, and if you guard my laws and my right rulings,

18 then I shall establish the throne of your reign, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, "There is not to cease a man of yours as ruler in Yisrael”.

2 Shemu'el (Samuel) 23:2 (King David speaking) "The Spirit of Yahuah has spoken through me, and His Word is on my tongue.

3 "The Elohim of Yisrael said, The Rock of Yisrael spoke to Me, 'One who rules over man righteously

4 "Who rules in the fear of Elohim, is like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, tender grass from the earth from sunshine, from rain'.

5 "For is not my house with El? For He has made an everlasting Covenant with me, ordered in all matters, and guarded. For all my deliverance and all desire, shall He not make it send forth a BRANCH?"

Tehillim (Psalms) 21:1 The sovereign rejoices in Your strength, O Yahuah, and how greatly he exults in Your deliverance!

2 You have given him the desire of his heart, and You have not withheld the request of his lips.

3 For You put before him the blessings of goodness: You set a crown of fine gold on his head.

Ya'aqob (James) 1:12 Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him.

The sign of the Covenant is royalty and majesty for an understanding heart.

6. The Promise of the New Covenant

Mark 14:22 And as they were eating, Yahusha took bread, having blessed, broke it, gave it to them and said, "Take, eat, this is My Body".

23 And taking the cup, giving thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.

24 And He said to them, "This is My Blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many.

25 Truly, I say to you, I shall certainly not drink of the fruit of the vine till that day when I drink it anew in the reign of Elohim".

Ibrim (Hebrews) 10:15 And the Set-apart Spirit also witnesses to us, for after having said before,

16 "This is the Covenant that I shall make with them after those days, says Yahuah, giving My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I shall write them,

17 "And their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall remember no more".

Acts 4:11 "This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.

12 "And there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is no other name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved".

The sign of the Covenant is Salvation by the Blood of the Lamb and obedience to His Word

7. The New Covenant - the fulfilling of all the Covenants

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 59:19 And they shall fear the name of Yahuah from the west, and His esteem from the rising of the sun, when He comes like a distressing stream which the Spirit of Yahuah drives on.

20 "And the Redeemer shall come to Tsiyon and to those turning from transgression in Ya'aqob", declares Yahuah.

21 "As for Me, this is My Covenant with them", said Yahuah: "My Spirit that is upon you, and My Words that I have put in your mouth, shall not be withdrawn from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants", said Yahuah, "from this time and forever".

Ibrim (Hebrews) 12:22 But you have drawn near to Mount Tsiyon and to the city of the living Elohim, to the heavenly Yerushalayim, to myriads of messengers,

23 To the entire gathering and assembly of the firstborn, having been enrolled in heaven, and to Elohim the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect,

24 And to Yahusha the Mediator of a New Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than the blood of Abel.

Ibrim (Hebrews) 8:8 For finding fault with them, He says "See, the days are coming, says Yahuah, when I shall conclude with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yahudah a renewed Covenant,

9 "Not according to the Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt), because they did not continue in my Covenant, and  I disregarded them", says Yahuah.

10 "Because this is the Covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days, says Yahuah, giving my laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.

11 "And they shall by no means teach every one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, "Know Yahuah', because they all shall know Me from the least of them to the greatest of them.

12 "Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall no longer remember".

13 By saying 'renewed' He has made the first old.  Now what becomes old and growing aged is near disappearing.

The first covenant with Adam, the law of sin and death, will disappear forever when the New Covenant is established. Contrary to what is usually taught that all of the first five covenants were done away with, all of the covenants except the one with Adam form a continuing story of salvation and redemption for mankind.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 62:1 For Tsiyons's sake I am not silent, and for Yerushalayim's sake I do not rest, until her *righteousness goes forth as  *brightness, and her *deliverance as a *lamp that burns.

2 And the nations shall see your *righteousness and all your *sovereigns your esteem. And you shall be called by a *new name, which the mouth of Yahuah designates.

3 And you shall be a *crown of comeliness in the land of Yahuah and a *royal crown in the hand of your Elohim.

4 No longer are you called *Forsaken, and no longer is your land called *Deserted. But you shall be called *Hephtsibah, and your land *Married, for Yahuah shall delight in you, and your land be *married.

5 For as a young man *marries a maiden, so shall your sons *marry you. And as the bridegroom rejoices over the *bride, so shall your Elohim rejoice over you.

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the *marriage of the *Lamb has come, and his wife has prepared herself.

* forsaken and deserted (Adam)

* obedient and perfect in his generations (Noah)

* righteousness (Abraham)

* the type of the Lamb (Yitshaq)

* a new name (Ya'aqob/Yisrael)

* married to Yahuah (Moses and the children of Yisrael)

* a royal crown (King David)

* the Light of the World - deliverance and salvation (Yahusha Messiah)

* the Marriage Feast of the Lamb - Peace. The fulfillment of all the covenants.

The above words show that this prophecy of Yeshayahu (Isaiah) fulfills all of the previous Covenants including the first to Adam. The following prophecy of Yeshayahu tells how the covenant with death (Adam) has been annulled by the sacrifice of Yahusha our Messiah.

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 28:16, 17, 18a Therefore thus says the Master Yahuah, "See, I am laying in Tsiyon a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a settled foundation. He who trusts shall not hasten away. And I shall make right-ruling the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet. And the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lying and the waters overflow the hiding place. "And your covenant with death shall be annulled and your vision with the grave not stand”.

Yeshayahu 54:10 "For though the mountains be removed and the hills be shaken, My kindness is not removed from you, nor is My Covenant of peace shaken", said Yahuah, who has compassion on you.

The sign of the Covenant is the Redemption of all the people who have the signs of all the covenants, none of which have been annulled except the first covenant with Adam, that is, the law of sin and death.

More signs of the Covenant Revelation 21:4 And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death nor mourning nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.

Another sign of the Seventh Covenant will be

 Peace over the Whole World
